  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree or experience.
  • A strong desire to utilize electrical engineering education to learn the concepts, techniques and applications of electrical power, machines, and protection through hands-on application.
  • Up to four years’ experience in industrial power, electrical machines, controls and protection.
  • Must be able to perform field service duties as required, usually several times a month, for 2-3 days at a time.
  • Successful completion of the FE/EIT examination.
  • Some experience performing power system studies such as Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, Short Circuit Analysis, Protective Device Coordination, Load Flow Study, Voltage Drop Analysis, Motor Starting Study, using SKM, E-TAP or similar software.  Additional Training may be provided.
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA-70E, IEEE, ANSI, and other applicable standards, regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience in the use of AutoCAD.  Experience in AutoCAD Electrical package would be a very significant plus.
